For many years they were called the "Chiefs" and had a stylized Native American head profile as their symbol. Although this logo was pretty much completely unoffensive, as opposed to, say, Chief Wahoo, native American tribes protested anyway, so for several years they changed their name to the "Sky Chiefs" with a symbol of a WWII B-17 bomber only its fusilage was a baseball bat. But now I see that they are back to being just the "Chiefs," although their symbol is now a locomotive for some reason.
