Rose and Jackson were banned for life. You get caught with steroids, you're banned for fifty games. Big difference. But yeah, I would actually like Jackson and Rose in the Hall, although Pete tests my faith every time he opens his mouth. Nick, how often are these rules followed? I honestly don't even want to rattle off the names of those already enshrined who fail just as much, if not more than, McGwire does in that department. The Hall ballot clearly states, and I quote, "Voting shall be based upon the player's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played." By my count, McGwire fails on 3 out of those 6 criteria.
