In 2007, they were ranked 6th in all of MLB with the long ball. And yet, they STILL managed to only score 693 runs all year, which is 28th out of 30. They were dead last in hits, doubles, and 28th in triples. They had the worst batting average (.246) and consequently the worst OBP. Cabrera should help some at least with the AVG... He was only mediocre While in NY.Glavine may have been very good at one time, but the Mets saw very few good outings from him in 5 years.
