With Scott Schoeneweis and Jorge Sosa on the trading block. Maybe the Mets could trade for one or both in Coco Crisp or Juan Rivera.

OK now CAN YOU GUYS DO MY METS?

You guys alway save the BEST team for last...

Ohh by the way, nice take on the Cubs, I think your very last sentence summed it all up for the Cubbies!

Sarah, Thanks. Yeah, I don't think it would be an even up trade. The Cubs would probably have to include prospects which they do have. They also have other pitchers like Sean Marshall (L) and Sean Gallagher (R) that are available to be moved. I wouldn't mind seeing them trade Pie and a pitcher for Crisp as I think he would give them a much better shot at winning the NL. Right now crisp would be the favorite over pie on the north side. I don't know if you have seen the Cubs' GM but unfortunately he looks like a big fan of pie.

Great post, Melissa. It would seem that the Cubs still are ogling Crisp, but that the Red Sox aren't interested in Marquis. According to the Globe, the Sox want bullpen help or prospects for Crisp.

Nonetheless, if the deal goes through, how great would it be to have Pie and Crisp on the same team? They could duke it out for CF the same way pie and crisp often duel for pride of place in the hearts of dessert-lovers.
