It’s an imperfect science, but look at Greenwell’s physique in that picture. Anything Bondsian about it? McGwiresque? Cansecoish? I know there are guys we were all surprised to see in the Mitchell Report (hardly the last word on the topic, I well know), but still…Mike Greenwell was always so skinny. And that was back in the day when it was Andro and made you super bloated (hello, Giambi). But I think I have sicker pythons than the Gator in that last picture.

The problem is that we don’t know whether or not Greenwell used steroids. His denials are just as empty as Barry Bonds’ (of course, Greenwell wasn’t great so no one really cares). Why do you believe him over anyone else? Is the fact that he was only OK enough proof that you believe him? I honestly don’t know whether he used or not but I would guess that more used then didn’t.

I honestly had no idea what this comment was about until you explained it to me.

Internal monologue in Paul’s head:

“Racist? Who is? Is Mike Greenwell racist? I’d never heard of anything like that. Is Sarah racist? Not that I can tell. Who’s racist???”

And there are so many more players who are far more overrated than Mike Greenwell.
