It's unlikely that the Red Sox can pull it out. But come on! You're a fan! Baseball is a game that's not restricted by time. In football, if you're down by three possessions with 2 seconds left, yeah, you're gonna lose. But in baseball, even if you're down 20 with one out left, it remains a possible victory. So until that final out is recorded, be completely irrational and stick with it! Lyndsay, I understand being discouraged. It’s unlikely that the Red Sox can pull it out. But come on! You’re a fan! Just... Wow. When the 6th ended and we were down 7-0 (and had been outscored 99999999-9 in the series to date), I admit to becoming discouraged, and watching an episode of Monk on the DVR, then went to bed. This morning, I get up, take the dog out, make my morning coffee and head to the computer to read my email, etc... After a few, out of morbid curiosity, I surf to the globe sports page to see if we at least scored 1 run to avoid total and abject humiliation. Thankfully, I had swallowed the mouthful of coffee before the results sank in. Just... Wow. Wow. Just… Wow.
