There hitting has been good so far and the only real problem has been the starting rotation behind Johan Santana - all four of them have ERAs of at least 7.30. But I don't think that John Maine, Mike Pelfrey and Oliver Perez are really that bad, so they just need to keep running them out there. They've had some bad luck with home runs so far. But it's clear Livan Hernandez really has no business being on a major league team anymore. I don’t think the Mets are in big trouble yet, actually.
