Well guess those suggestions didn't go to well. Jeter is having a career year, Hughes has found his spot and the team's pitchers have sorta figured out how to pitch in the stadium.

As for Jeter's future I think he can play SS for a few more years and then will make a fine DH.

Think you may have jumped the gun a little fast...but good effort.

Today Mark Teixeira broke his bat and hit a home run. It was awesome, but Phillies color man Garry Matthews wasn't impressed. He went on for two innings about how it isn't right that a guy should hit a HR on a broken bat swing, and how the stadium was to blame.

Hey Sarge, I seem to recall a national league team that built a new stadium right next to it's old stadium, and that other teams complained that it was way too easy to hit home runs in that new stadium, and the experts blamed it on the wind. Sound familiar, Sarge?

Well, since I am advocating a trade of Jeter in this post, I'm not sure how re-signing Jeter even enters into the conversation. The Yankees would be extremely foolish to resign Jeter at all, and signing him to DH would be insane.

Jeter needs to go play third base somewhere, which he obviously can't do on the Yankees.

And given that Giambi is already gone and Matsui's contract is up this fall, I'm not sure what you mean by "plenty of DH types." There's a definite hole at DH starting next year.

Ummm the Yanks already have plenty of DH types and with the long deals of A-rod and Tex, that spot cannot be filled. Also, if we resign Jeter, he might have to DH due to his defensive limitations.
