A-Rod in boxer briefs!

If this isn’t a pathetic excuse of an attempt at spreading a viral web video, I don’t know what is.

What’s Activision thinking, putting four elite athletes in a room, with nary boxer briefs and a pink shirt? That we’re just going to post it!?

We have no shame…

(For those of you scoring at home, yes, that’s Tony Hawk, Michael Phelps, Kobe Bryant, and his studness, Alex Rodriguez)

Fact: Angels Fans Suck

A friend of mine–a Red Sox fan friend–just texted me from the Sox-Angels game in Anaheim. How did he score tickets to ALDS Game 1, you might ask yourself? Good question.

Well, it turns out that he walked up to the ticket window….

And paid them 40 bucks….

Two hours before game time.

Bite me.

A-rod is lame. Discuss.

Alex Rodriguez has started 1,256 games as a shortstop. He’s started 399 at third base. So, to review, almost a quarter of his total starts have been at third.

Which is why I think it’s pretty lame (see headline) that after going 0-for-4 last night at the plate, making three (!!!) errors, and injuring himself in the 5th by fouling a ball off his toe, A-Rod gave the following excuse:

“Third base is a position that I’ve got to keep working at. I never had that feeling at shortstop.

“I’m still learning. I’m trying my best.”

Now, I know that people gave A-Rod a lot of props for agreeing to move to third base when he went to the Yankees. But to my mind, this whole I’m-still-learning schtick was passe a couple hundred games ago. C’mon, dude. You’re the highest-paid baseball player ever. Strap on a set. Repeat after me: “I’m just trying to help the ballclub. Just gotta take it one game at a time and the good Lord willing, everything will work out.”

Gah! But what else, really, should a Sox fan expect from this man:

Sorry, I had to go there.
