The Tomahawk-Chopping Cow: Would Jesus Do the Tomahawk Chop?

The Atlanta Braves have revealed a new marketing partnership with the aptly-named, chicken filet restaurant Chick-Fil-A, where they installed a huge, mechanical tomahawking cow on top of the roof of the right field pavilion at Turner Field. The cow is part of a promotional scheme we Atlantans are very familiar with. Chick-Fil-A has billboards all over town featuring cows that encourage you to “eat more chikin.”

Coincidentally, I was at the game on Friday, and the consensus was: “Whoa, where’d that cow come from? It’s doing the Chop!”

Behold, the mechanical tomahawking cow in all its politically incorrect glory:

A funny fact about Chick-Fil-A, they close on Sundays, which is a policy that has carried over since the founder wanted to make sure his employees had time to worship.

Which makes me wonder, Would Jesus do the Tomahawk Chop?

  1. Danny O Says:

No way. I’m a huge Braves fan, but I don’t do that racist-ass chop bullshit.

I’m not so sure that’s the Tomahawk Chop. There’s at least a little of the Heil Hudson in there.
